Townes passed away 11-yrs ago today @ the age of 52.

i knew townes from the sand mountain year of 1968.more than once i would go up to the little place above the coffee house where he stayed for awhile, we would share songs,i still have the words he wrote down for me one evening,said he thought i could do it well and he wanted me to give it to me,no title at the time, it is the tower song. he also gave me all of his harmonicas, said they were changing his style.last time i saw townes was in taos,nm. another story, for later.
