Forty-years yesterday The Band's Music from Big Pink album was released, marking the first release by the newly named quintet. The Band consisted of Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson & Robbie Robertson. John Simon was the producer.

Levon Helm chose the great music-related author Stephen Davis to co-write This Wheel's on Fire, a great depiction of Levon's life before, during & after his involvement as the drummer, song co-writer & vocalist for the legendary The Band.
