I Threw It All Away.

Bob Dylan's newer live version ('06) of 'Wheel's on Fire."

We love the tune Wheel's on Fire w/ co-writing credits going to Bob Dylan & Rick Danko. Here is an '06 live version by Dylan. Levon Helm's autobiographry book title This Wheel's on Fire is taken from this great song.

Update on Sid Griffin's upcoming Bob Dylan "Rolling Thunder" era book.

The book is projected to hit stores by Christmas. Thanks to Mary Wogan & her Visons of Dylan blog for the update. Sid Griffin has interviewed some great Dylan-related folk to produce this book. We loved his Million Dollar Bash book on Dylan & The Band's Basement Tapes.

Online "NPR" article on Levon Helm.

Thanks to Levon Helm's webmaster Tony LoBue for sending us the link:

Levon Helm's annual participation in New Paltz (NY) Memorial Day parade.

Thanks to Butch & Barrie Dener, we just received a couple more pics from this past weekend's annual New Paltz (NY) Memorial Day parade. Both Butch & Levon participate in this event every year. These pics depict how Levon & Helmland's inviting nature is not only contained to Levon & Sandy Helm's estate, but remotely as well.

One pic shows Levon chauffering the lovely Mrs. Bova (as he does so annually), the parade's only Vietnam-era Gold Star Mother. We have included a link to the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. Gold Star Mothers are moms who have lost a son or daughter to a war.

The other pic includes three Helmlanders - Tony LoBue (Levon's webmaster, among other duties) far left, Butch just behind Tony & Levon mingling w/ two military gents.
An event such as this is one of the gazillion reasons we love these guys.

Listen to Levon Helm's new album "Electric Dirt."

Helmland is offering more of a listen of this June 30th release!

Butch Dener driving in this year's New Paltz (NY) Memorial Day parade.

The wonderful annual tradition held in the beautiful Catskills region to salute the men & women who protect & serve. Butch Dener, forever keeper of The Band & Little Feat flames, is shown here driving a convertible SAAB during this year's New Paltz, NY Memorial Day parade. Butch would never miss a moment to pay his respects to such honorable folks as our veterans.
Thanks to Butch & his wonderful wife Barrie for providing us w/ this pic.
