Happy b'day to the late Berry Oakley!

The Allman Bros. member would have turned 61 today. He died from a motorcycle accident in '72.

Happy b'day to the late, great Muddy Waters!

Muddy would have turned 94 today. He passed on in '83. Levon Helm named his beautiful pit bull after him. Water & Helm produced an amazing blues / rock album @ Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, NY back in the 70's.

Bow Thayer & Perfect Trainwreck's "facebook" page.

Awesome VT-based band that frequently teams up w/ Levon Helm. The band's 2nd to last album's title Spend It All is based on The Band's Richard Manuel's frequent quote according to Helm. Whenever things got dicey in the studio, etc., for The Band, Manuel would belt out "spend it all!" Thayer claims he had to use his credit card to front the finances for that album during its production.

R.I.P. Wayne Saward, Woodstock Festival '69 monument sculptor.

We recently lost the good-hearted soul @ the age of 52. May he rest in peace. His bro wouldn't take him to the original festival when he was around the age of 11-12, but his participation will always be remembered.
